GRAD 4

This semester, we collaborated on an experimental design project that challenged us to think creatively and address unique accessibility needs. The primary focus of the project was visual impairment, guiding our efforts to create an inclusive and functional design. Our assignment involved conceptualizing a recreational center specifically designed for visually impaired youth, with the goal of fostering independence, engagement, and community. Throughout the process, we explored innovative design strategies, sensory enhancements, and layout considerations that prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring the space would support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of its users. This project allowed us to deepen our understanding of how thoughtful design can positively impact underserved communities.
